Claire 2016 PictureClaire Williams IMDTB –  Behaviourist / IMDT Trainer

I am an experienced canine behaviourist and trainer working with all types and breeds of dogs with a wide range of behaviour issues. I run a small, bespoke home visit consultancy service in the Thames Valley area.

Before studying to become a behaviourist, I had a long career in Human Resource Management for  household name companies, and specialised for many years in the areas of Training, Reward and Motivation. Given my life long love of and association with dogs, it seemed like a natural transition for me to move into understanding and working with the motivation and management of our four legged friends and their relationships with us humans.

It can be extremely stressful when a dog you love and want the best for behaves in ways that cause difficulties, embarrassment, or even danger. I can help you understand the ‘Why?’ of these issues and ‘How’ to address them to improve your lives together.

I do not “fix” your dog. I give you the information needed to help you understand your dog, demonstrate practical tools to help you improve their behaviour, and provide support for you to enhance your relationship with your dog to live together in a more harmonious state that is good for your dog, good for you and good for others around you.

I am a fully qualified member of both the IMDTB (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers – Behaviourists) and IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers – Trainers) and am also an OCN externally accredited behaviourist. I’m fully insured and committed to my continuing professional development. I keep myself up to date with the latest thinking on dog psychology and methodology and regularly attend training workshops, conferences and seminars. For more information about the IMDT please go to  www.imdt.uk.com

I am also pleased to support two fantastic dog rescue charities, Glendee Rescue and Stokenchurch Dog Rescue. Please click on their logos below to find out more about the work these wonderful charities do or to make a donation.
